Marissa Barrett-D’Amico, MS, PA-C

Marissa Barrett-D’Amico is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She received her medical training from Duke School of Medicine, where she graduated top of her class and earned her Master of Science. She went on to pursuit a dermatology fellowship with the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and gained the title of Diplomate Fellow. Marissa has trained with Dr. Bundy since 2022 in medical dermatology as well as surgical closures and reconstructions. She is certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Physician Assistant Examiners. Additionally, she is an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.

Dermatology has always been a field of medicine that Marissa has been passionate about. She believes that dermatology gives her the opportunity to help the patient transform their life in a positive way and shape the story that they envision for themselves. As a Physician Assistant in dermatology, Marissa is committed to placing patient care at the forefront and dedicated to providing patients with the highest quality of care by addressing their specific dermatological concerns. She strives to provide her patients with superior care by staying current within the field of dermatology and providing a welcoming and collaborative environment. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and nail disorders as well as identification and prevention of skin cancers.

Outside of the office, Marissa enjoys trying new local restaurants, traveling and going to coffee shops with her husband Xavier and their rescue pup Lucia. She also likes to get outdoors and go to the beautiful beaches…with sunblock on, of course.
